THE HERDS arrive to the vibrant city of Dakar. Running through the streets of Ouakam they are welcomed with an arresting performance by renowned Senegalese artists collective "Artiste du Daanu". In the center of city - the Medina - they will meet the artwork of visual artist Fabrice Monteiro in the shape of a stark prophecy, to the sound of Noumoucounda Cissoko's kora.
Eventually, THE HERDS find their way to the beach of Golf Sud, where choreographer Jean Tamba responds to the climate crisis through the mythology of the Kumpo, the spiritual masquerade symbol of the Diola people of the Casamance, before disappearing into the vast Sahara Desert.
